It's wild and windy here today as we come to the end of what has been a turbulent year for so many people.

For my camera and I on the other hand it's been a far more positive year - about exploration and development, about trying new things and changing for the better.

I worked with babies and brides, shot in sunshine and snow,  photographed families and friends, graduations and birthday parties and might have already made big big plans for the new year to come!

Tiny Toes ~ Family photography, Oulu

Today I was lucky enough to photograph the children of an old friend, including their newest family member - a very handsome little chap, all of three weeks old.

Last weekend I spent an afternoon with Sofia and her awesome parents, Heidi and Erkko, whose beautiful wedding I was lucky enough to photograph last summer.

Sofia turned one not long before Christmas and this was a shoot full of action and giggles -  as you'll see from this selection of shots from the shoot!

Sisters - Children's photography in Oulu

This weekend I was asked to photograph two beautiful little ladies.

The littlest lady has to be one of the calmest babies I've photographed, she even slept for a little while in the middle of the session which allowed for some adorable shots with her big sister looking on proudly.


























The best thing about having these sessions in your own home is that you have everything to hand that you might need. Spare clothes, space to feed, toys your children love and, best of all, you'll have memories of your children in their first home. Sat on the sofa that they'll cuddle up to you on for years to come, photos of their first bedroom. Real memories that you'll treasure forever.

Tonight I had the pleasure of a family photo session with a family I've known for some years.

Lots of lovely colours in the leaves and some lovely light made for a very fun shoot.

Little Neo's Not So Little Anymore!

This weekend I got to take some photos of the not-so-little-anymore Neo whose christening I was lucky enough to photograph at the start of the year. 
Now, Neo's six months old and coming on strong! Such a smiley little chap, it was so much fun.

Introducing Miss Juulia...

Yesterday I got to take photos of 1 month old Juulia and her 2 year old brother Rasmus to celebrate her recent Christening.

Sadly, Miss Juulia wasn't really in the mood for a photo session but in between feeding and napping we did manage to get some lovely pictures of a lovely little lady. And when she was indisposed, big brother Rasmus was only to happy to take her place!

Neo's Christening

Last Sunday I was lucky enough to take the photos at Baby Neo's Christening. It was a beautiful ceremony with family and friends and was held in a simply stunning building here in Oulu. Here are a few photos from a wonderful afternoon and evening.
