Love Stories - Päivi + Janne

A sunny love story for this sunny Sunday.

Last Sunday evening the sun shone perfectly for Päivi and Janne's Love Stories session near Oulujoki Church. <3

Päivi and Janne have been together for nearly two years and while it is, for both of them, their second time at love and a slightly more modern love story than that of Minna and James' it's no less romantic.

They met 'online', as more and more people are doing, and Päivi remembers giddily the moment he first messaged her - sat in her car outside Prisma, for those curious among you. ;)

He noticed her smile first and she said when she saw him walking towards her on their first date that she just...knew.

Coming into a new relationship can be daunting, especially if you've left a long term one behind you, but they do say love can be sweeter the second time around.

As painful as breakups and divorces can be, sometimes they are for the best and they can help you see what it is you really need and want. You know yourself better than perhaps you did before, you understand yourself more.

Päivi admitted she never thought she would find herself part of a 'blended family' - both her and Janne have children from their previous relationships - but now everything seems just as it should be. The children have been very supportive and understanding and, given how content both Päivi and Janne truly seem together, very happy too I should imagine.

The good thing with love is that there are no rules. Love is different for every heart that feels it and when your heart finds one with the same rhythm...that's all that really matters.

“Have enough courage to trust love one more time. And always, one more time.” — Maya Angelou
