Little Leap 52 - Weeks 8 to 12

Apologies for the mammoth catch up post. With Easter and everything else the weeks and weekends especially just seemed to evaporate last month!
But here are the themes and photos that took the Little Leap 52 project through March.

This awesome project involves taking a photo every week for a year with a different theme for each week. It was started by brilliant South African photographer Tanya Jacobs but with various things she's found that she has too much going on to run the project.

So guess who volunteered to take it over...

Yep. Yours truly.

If you fancy taking part, you don't have to be a professional photographer in any way. You can use a camera or your phone, whatever you have to hand to take photos, and join in with the current week's theme. I'll be offering creative and technical advice and tips as the weeks pass to help you learn to master your camera and become more confident in taking photos. You can find us on Facebook, would be lovely to see you there!

Week Eight - Over Exposed

This week's theme had a technical edge to it, to try and shoot a photo where we ramp up the exposure to give the photo a slightly blown out look.
Luckily snow and birch trees are rather awesome when you're playing with exposure and contrasts.

Week Nine - Lines

A rather full week last week and a busy weekend meant time for photos was in short supply but whilst trying to manage something 'creative' with the lines on the floor I spotted a line of a different sort being made and managed to snap a shot before the whole line of dominoes was knocked down!

Week Ten - Shadows

It might seem a little odd to see a little girl dressed as a witch at this time of year but here in Finland this is something of a tradition. On Palm Sunday, children dress up as witches and go door to door reciting a poem and distributing decorated twigs in exchange for candy. Not a bad deal, eh?
Here's Rosie making sure her hat still fits.

Week Eleven - Green

With snow still on the ground outside and the leaves no where in sight I wondered if I'd have to use a selfie of myself in a leprechaun hat from St. Patrick's Day to fulfil this week's theme. But then my daughters brought home their Easter grass, another awesome Finnish tradtiion, and my problem was solved!

Week Twelve - Spring

What's more Spring-y than the Easter Bunny? wink emoticon
Especially such a cheeky one as this!
